Lara Craig - Writer at Large
Deeply human and emotionally unflinching, this novel will stay with you long after the last page.
A steady voice that refuses to offer easy answers and commits to showing how choices ripple - through families, law and institutions.
An uncomfortable love story that is honest,
despite past choices that challenge their very core.
A raw, intimate account of love, law,
and the daily work of keeping a family whole.
Told from the inside, it’s a fierce story about what we do to survive
the things that should never have happened.
LARA CRAIG
Lara is a survivor of rape.
A caution.
She addresses the issue of sexual assault
head on questioning our typical conventions of thought and judgements.
A challenge.
This book will continue to ask questions of
its readers long after.

Thank you for visiting my website!
I began my writing career too long ago to be comfortable sharing.
We are all seeking a fountain of youth.
My first paid books were non-fiction predominantly featuring artists.
I have always enjoyed the arts and they have been kind to me. An outlet of frustration, an outlet of love and an outlet of creativity.
I can't imagine my life without them.
My journey to fiction writing has taken time.
My drive to complete Accidents of Truth saw me up at three in the morning so I could write for a couple of hours before any demands.
It is a voice that I want to share.
A close friend once said to me as I was
researching for the book, taking a life is judged in shades of grey.
Manslaughter, premeditated, passion.
That consideration has not come yet for sexual abuse crimes.
He was right, there is no grey.
Perhaps there should be.
Thank you for your support in fulfilling my dream.
